Heartland Fire Training Facility RESCUE SYSTEMS 1 (CA State Certified)

| COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides training in the subject elements required for the
CA Urban Search & Rescue Basic and Light operations level; information
for the recognition of unique hazards associated with building collapse
or failure; working knowledge of the resources and procedures for performing
search & rescue operations inside and beneath debris; and training
in the procedures for performing victim extrication operations inside and
beneath debris of light frame constructions. Field training modules include
rope rescue systems, building shoring, ladder rescue systems, lifting and
moving of heavy objects, and light frame construction breaching. This course Satisfies: Several FF1 & FF2 Rescue requirements; the Rescue Systems 1 requirement for the new SFM Rescue Technician career track; required training of OES Basic and Light USAR assignment, and FEMA USAR assignment.
