| COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will build upon the knowledge and skills learned in RS1. RS2 will cover: Information in building collapse and shoring (covers construction types, collapse patterns, advanced shoring methods, hazard recognition, and confined space considerations); power tool operation and Safety (covers how to use power tools, both gas and electric, USAR Task Force tools, generator use and application, use of tools in confined space environment); moving of heavy objects (covers prying, cribbing and dynamic movement of heavy objects, use of air bags and mechanical jacks). Prerequisite: Rescue Systems 1 DATES: -- May 24-28, 2010 TIME: 0830-1730 LOCATION: Heartland Fire Training Facility, 1301 N. Marshall Ave, El Cajon PPE: Fire/Rescue helmet; eye protection, safety boots, leather gloves, brush pants/coat.
