Low Angle Rope Rescue Operational (LARRO) (CA State Certified)
(PREREQUISITE FOR RESCUE SYSTEMS 1)


COURSE DESCRIPTION: CA State Fire Marshal FSTEP certified course designed to equip the student with the techniques and methods for using rope, webbing, hardware friction devices, and litters in low angle rescue situations. Areas covered include rope and related equipment, anchor systems, safety lines, stretcher lashing and rigging, mechanical advantage systems, and single line and two line rescue systems.

This course Satisfies: Several FF1 & FF2 Rescue requirements; the Low Angle Rescue requirement for the new SFM Rescue Technician career track; the Low Angle Rescue requirement for Open Water Lifeguard Degree; and the prerequisite for the new Rescue Systems 1

DATES: March 9-11, 2010

TIME: Classes start promptly at 0900 hours.

LOCATION: Camp Elliott Rescue Training Center, East Miramar, San Diego, CA
